Certificate of College Studies

Course Listings

 

 

The Certificate in College Studies program offers you a chance to get learn about the Bible through research, pastoral duties, and responsibilities, how to organize a church and accounting techniques, and how to perform services. You will study topics such as Salvation, Church Operations, Church Accounting, Evangelism Ministry, and general Bible knowledge to prepare your way in the service of God.

You can select any one of the following concentrations for your certificate studies:

 

·         Bible

·         Evangelism Ministry

·         Youth Studies

·         Pastoral Studies

·         Minister’s Preparation

·        Theology

 

The following is the required courses (parts) that must be completed by undergraduate students and some graduate students. (Advanced graduate students will be assigned a different course list.)

Undergraduate Certificate Program

 

Part I - Salvation and the Doctrine of Grace*

Part 2 - Evangelism*

Part 3 - Bible Studies & Research*

Part 4 - Church Administration and Accounting*

Part 5 - Professional Research (Major Christian Doctrines)
       Part 6 (optional)- Christian Service – Oaths of Service & Ministry Goals
       Part 7 - Practical Application (optional)– LIVE broadcast of a Worship
                   Service or Bible Study

 

Textbooks – The Bible is the main textbook for the courses. Courses with an asterisk (*) have textbooks  that are included in the cost of the program.


After successful completion of the courses, you can apply to be
ordained by TGCM
.

 

Graduate Certificate Program

Advanced Graduate Students will be required to complete a large amount of research
and submit APA formatted reports as part of their  course completion. An alternate course
listing for advanced graduate students is listed below:

 

Part I - Oaths of Service

Part 2 - Ministry Prep & Church History

Part 3 - Bible Research

Part 4 - Ministry Goals and Beliefs

Part 5 – Church Operations & Accounting*

Part 6 - Major Christian Doctrines* (Arguments for and Against)
Part 7 – Practical Application (optional)– LIVE broadcast of a Worship
            Service or Bible Study

 

There is a LIVE practical application. Each student desiring ordination must perform a LIVE worship service or Bible Study using the  TGCM Bible College live broadcast channel. (Students unable to perform live broadcast due to overseas location or lack of computer equipment (e.g., camera), may be allowed to submit a video file, DVD, or VHS  or other format (as approved by the instructor.)

Bibles
Each student will receive a free Bible and an online version of the TGCM Minister’s Handbook –
How to Perform Services.

 

Recommended Equipment

To perform live practical application broadcasts it is recommended that the student
have access to a computer with internet, a web camera, and a microphone.

Note: The LIVE broadcast is only required if you are seeking ordination.
